About Membership Medicine

You will be able to see me on the same day or within 24 hours of your call. Your appointment time will be honored and you will be seen promptly, in an unhurried fashion. I intend to ensure there will be ample opportunity to address your medical needs at each visit. In general, your Comprehensive Wellness Evaluation will be 60 minutes and all other appointments will be up to 30 minutes in length.

Office visits are best scheduled during normal office hours when the full complement of staff is available. However, should you require an occasional visit outside of my traditional office hours, I will do my best to accommodate you.

During office hours, my staff will answer your calls directly and will assist you with your needs. I encourage my patients to call with any questions or concerns regarding their health. If consultation with me is needed and I am unable to speak with you immediately, I will return your call promptly. After office hours or on weekends and holidays, you can reach me directly on my cell phone for urgent issues at any time of the day or night, whether you are at home or traveling.

Diabetes is a common disease, yet every individual requires unique care with a lifelong management plan. My personalized care practice will allow me to have more quality time with each of you, to provide education, monitor your progress and play a significant role in helping you maintain your health.

Should a family member or friend become ill during a visit to the Chicago area, I will be happy to see them in my office and assist with prompt medical care as though they were a member of my practice.

I will focus on prevention and wellness, not just taking care of you when you are ill. I recognize that the ideal doctor-patient relationship includes having your physician always available as your advocate. As my patient, you will receive an expanded annual Comprehensive Wellness Evaluation that will be the cornerstone to our approach. Whenever you need me for interval questions or concerns, it will remain my standard to consider all the risks and benefits of any intervention and educate you to my utmost.

If serious illness or injury should occur, I will be there to serve as your advocate and help you navigate the maze of modern healthcare. You will also be able to depend on me for counsel regarding difficult healthcare and end-of-life decisions.
